RS Standards helps RFM achieve First of it’s Kind…AGAIN!

RFM Certification once again achieved recognition under GSSI’s new Version 2.0 of their Global Benchmark Tool.

After being the first sustainable seafood certification program to achieve Global Sustainable Seafood Initiative (GSSI) Recognition in 2016, on June 30, 2023 RFM is once again the first certification program to achieve recognition under the new Version 2.0 of GSSI’s Global Benchmark Tool. Read GSSI’s news release here

This recognition demonstrates that RFM is in alignment with all 142 applicable GSSI Essential Components and that the RFM program and Fishery Standard (version 2.1, 2020), are in alignment with the FAO Code of Conduct for Responsible Fisheries and FAO Guidelines for the Ecolabelling of Fish and Fishery Products from Marine Capture Fisheries. In 2019, GSSI conducted their Monitoring of Continued Alignment (MOCA) of the RFM Certification Standard and found it to have continued alignment with all GSSI Essential Components and therefore awarded continued recognition of the Standard

The RS Team helped the Alaska Seafood Marketing Initiative set up the Responsible Fisheries Management Program in 2010. The RFM Program was then transferred to the Certified Seafood Collaborative for further expansion nationally and internationally. We are very happy and proud for the RS STANDARDS LIMITED team to be still helping the Responsible
Fisheries Management (RFM) Standard and Program to lead the way with gaining credentials
and accreditations.

The RS team have been assisting with the RFM Program since the Programs inception back in 2010 and we have seen the Program grow nationally and internationally with more fisheries and seafood organisations coming on-board.

The Global Sustainable Seafood Initiative (GSSI) and #ISO credentials clearly demonstrate that the RFM Team and Program continue to meet the highest expectations, from all stakeholder and interested parties perspectives.

It's definitely up there as one of the best #Seafood #Legacy projects that we helped create and grow.

#Kudos to all the historic and current RFM Management Team and Supporting Boards and Committees.See https://lnkd.in/enamhW2A for more information on the Program.
