RS Standards: Using the WWF Basket Framework to Improve Social Responsibility in Seafood

The WWF-UK Basket Blueprint for Action aims to halve the impact of UK retail baskets and set the UK food system on the path to regenerative production and consumption.

Seven priority areas for action covering a wide range of challenges across the food system have been identified. ‘Marine’ is one such priority area, with a series of actions for healthier oceans and improved labour practices and worker welfare.

To learn more about the WWF Basket and associated requirements for improving social responsibility in seafood supply chains, RS Standards are hosting a free one hour webinar.

Our Experts Michael Platt, Michaela Archer & Dave Garforth will provide essential information for seafood businesses supplying major UK retailers. Attendees will learn more about the WWF Basket framework, the social elements and actions that will need to be taken.

RS Standards has been working with major suppliers and retailers and has used this valuable insight to develop a very useful review and improvement toolkit for any business. We strongly recommend attendance to learn about this initiative as the requirements to meet the commitments for this initiative could be challenging and could take years to comply with.

The webinar has two key objectives:
a) To give attendees more understanding of the key elements of this initiative
b) To show how RS Standards experts are helping supply chains and can support

The event will take place online at 1pm GMT on Wednesday 14th Dec and have a duration of 1 hour.
