GAA (Global Aquaculture Alliance) and GSA (Global Seafood Assurances) have officially become the Global Seafood Alliance, a major turning point in their history as they seek to broaden their reach in the seafood industry.

The same approach they took to building the world-leading Best Aquaculture Practices (BAP) certification program – as well as their events, publications and educational content will be applied to an exciting new world for them with Best Seafood Practices (BSP). As they enter this new era of operations, starting with certifying responsible fishing vessels under the RFVS program, they do so with great respect for the traditions and heritage of commercial fishing communities around the world from which they hope to learn and grow alongside.

RS Standards have been a key consultancy support partner for the development of a number of standards within the BAP program and have played a lead role in the development of the recently created RFVS in the new BSP Program. We as an organization wish the new GSA every success in the future and look forward to working with them to fulfil their new mission and vision.
